Soya pakora formula – Soybean plant chunks, soya nuggets or repast maker are the different name calling to textured vegetable protein.   • 1 cup soja nuggets / meal maker

  • 0.5 tsp red chilli powder or paste from 2 green chillies

  • 4 tbsp besan / chickpea flour
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 0.5 tsp ginger garlic glue
  • 0.5 tsp cannon seeds / ajwain
  • 1 pinch turmeric / haldi
  • water As needed
  • 2 tbsps onion in paste form (optional)
  • Oil for frying
  • Heat 4 cups of water to a boil. Switch off the stove and add the soya nuggets.

  • Squeeze and drain off the water. Repeat rinsing twice in cold body of water and drain completely.

  • Add all the other ingredients to a trough except body of water and oil. Add water little past little and make a thick batter.

  • Heat oil in a pan. When the oil colour is just hot enough, melt off the flame to medium. Drib the Glycine ma nuggets with smooch. Deep fry until golden, stirring often.

  • Drain them on a kitchen tissue.

  • Serve heated up with Indian relish or tea.
